Are you licensed and insured?

We are licensed contracting professionals, which means we have been granted a contractor trade license as mandated by state and local laws. Any sub-contractors that we may use on a project are also licensed and insured. We also carry workers compensation insurance for all our employees.

How does the process work?

The first step is discussing your unique construction wants and needs with us via phone or in person. We want to know your project goals, visions, concerns, and budget. We will then create a detailed plan that outlines the costs, materials, schedule, and timeline for your project. Once we begin work, we will be sure to keep you involved and updated on your construction project from start to finish.

When can you start on my project?

We can begin working on your project as soon as the contract is signed. We begin by gathering the documents needed if a permit is necessary, and then we order all materials needed. Then, we finalize the project’s schedule and timeline, and the client makes a financial deposit. Generally, the overall timeline for a project depends on varying factors, including how quickly decisions are made on behalf of the client, what type of project they would like us to complete, and when the permit is approved, if applicable. The required materials for a project also play a role in its timeline. For example, impact windows and doors take about four to six weeks to arrive once ordered.

What are your payment terms?

During our first meeting, we will present a financial plan that details every cost associated with all aspects of your project, from start to finish. You will be asked to make payments at various stages of the construction process. Your payment amount and schedule will be clearly outlined in your contract to avoid any surprises. Everything we do at Neelz Contracting is transparent, so if any changes arise during your project, we will always discuss this with you and obtain your approvable before moving forward.

Do you have experience working with HOAs?

Yes, we frequently work with HOAs and property managers. The rules for many HOA communities require all architectural projects requested by a homeowner to be completed by a licensed contractor that is familiar with their community’s governing documents. We always make a point to consider and abide by all HOA rules and regulations when completing any contracting work.
